The cat that didn't make the cut
So I got a stampin up Halloween stamp in the mail that I ordered from Ebay. I am not a stamper but I thought this little cat was cute and I wanted to try it. So I stamped and colored and picked background paper and mounted it on a tag and then started putting together my card (I hadn't even picked paper or anything because the cat was the main focus) and then I realized that the cat didn't match the feel of the card. Esp after I used the foam eyes in the background and the word "spooky" on the inside cover (which neither were part of the original idea). So kitty ended up hitting the scrap table because he is absolutely the most un-spookiest cat in creation! LOL (too cute to spook? I dunno) Anyway, another day, another project...... maybe.
p.s. I ended up using this spider and web from paper dolls cartridge which the face on the spider was too un-spooky as well but as luck would have it, my peachy keen stamps came in today too and I like how he came out. I also used a Martha Stewart glitter pen that I got on clearance last year after Halloween, I like the effect on the web, what do you think?
