Great giveaway

Great giveaway over at The Latte Lounge . I don't think I've ever seen anyone giveaway copic markers!

Color Challenge

I made this card for the Pink stamper color challenge, but she asked us to do it in 30 mins. I totally did not do that in time! It took me 10 mins to pick out paper! Also, although I didn't use the Breast cancer awareness symbol, I definitely had that in mind. My BFF is a breast cancer survivor but she doesn't like to talk about it much. I made this card with her in mind but I am still debating whether or not to send it to her. I thought I would use it as a "thinking of you" card with Breast cancer awareness undertones. What do you think?

witchy frog

Ok so I was trying to think of an idea to enter Emma's challenge about animals. I wasn't going to do another Halloween card but I wasn't coming up with any ideas and then I saw my stamps from Scrappy Moms about broom parking and I liked the idea of what if someone didn't heed the advice and got turned into a toad? I don't know if all of that came across( probably not) but that was the idea anyway. Also there was another challenge to use black or orange, but not both. I'm probably too late for that one, but I tried anyway.

something cute

I had this card in my gypsy for a couple of weeks now and then I saw the challenge(at pink stamper) to make something cute. I hope it fits that description. I wanted the nice smile that you see first to be misleadingly cute and then open it up for a little scarier surprise. I hope it achieved that.

The cat that didn't make the cut

So I got a stampin up Halloween stamp in the mail that I ordered from Ebay. I am not a stamper but I thought this little cat was cute and I wanted to try it. So I stamped and colored and picked background paper and mounted it on a tag and then started putting together my card (I hadn't even picked paper or anything because the cat was the main focus) and then I realized that the cat didn't match the feel of the card. Esp after I used the foam eyes in the background and the word "spooky" on the inside cover (which neither were part of the original idea). So kitty ended up hitting the scrap table because he is absolutely the most un-spookiest cat in creation! LOL (too cute to spook? I dunno) Anyway, another day, another project...... maybe.

p.s. I ended up using this spider and web from paper dolls cartridge which the face on the spider was too un-spooky as well but as luck would have it, my peachy keen stamps came in today too and I like how he came out. I also used a Martha Stewart glitter pen that I got on clearance last year after Halloween, I like the effect on the web, what do you think?

Christmas in October

Well my new stamps from Scrappy Moms came yesterday and so I just kinda threw this card together (mostly scraps from previous projects). Not the best, but not too bad for a quick effort. Anyway, I really wanted to enter the challenge at Pink Stamper.
